Job Opportunities at the Independent Examinations Board (IEB)

The IEB is seeking to appoint a suitably qualified individual to the position of Materials Production: Editor. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the production of high-quality assessment materials that meet the standards and expectations of the IEB’s clients, as well as the requirements of external quality assurance bodies. 

Required qualifications:

·       Matric/Grade 12 Certificate.

·       Relevant Degree or its equivalent (e.g.: Applied Linguistics).

·       Editing and Proofreading certificate.

Minimum experience/knowledge required:

·       Minimum 5 years as a Copy Editor and Proofreader

·       Proficient in both written and verbal communication skills in English and Afrikaans

Languages.

·       Project Management (planning, implementation, monitoring and evaluation).

·       Interpersonal skills and ability to work under pressure.

·       Computer skills are essential.
