NATIONAL SENIOR CERTIFICATE EXAMINATIONS 2025
[12 January 2026]: The Independent Examinations Board (IEB) has announced the results of the 2025 National Senior Certificate (NSC) examinations, achieving an overall pass rate of 98.31%, reflecting the continued strength, stability, and credibility of the IEB assessment system.
All candidates who successfully completed the 2025 IEB NSC examinations achieved a pass that qualifies them for post-school study at one of three levels:
· 89.12% achieved entry to degree study, compared to 89.37% in 2024.
· 7.83% qualified for diploma study, compared to 7.56% in 2024.
· 1.34% achieved entry to Higher Certificate study, compared to 1.53% in 2024.
· 0.02% achieved an endorsed NSC.

[12 Januarie 2026] Die Independent Examinations Board (IEB) het die uitslae van die 2025 Nasionale Senior Sertifikaat (NSS)-eksamens aankondig, wat ‘n algehele slaagsyfer van 98.31% behaal het, wat die voortgesette sterkte, stabiliteit en geloofwaardigheid van die IEB assesseringsisteem weerspieël.
Alle kandidate wat die 2025 IEB NSS-eksamens suksesvol voltooi het, het ‘n slaagpunt behaal wat hulle vir naskoolse studie op een van drie vlakke verleen:
· 89.12% het toegang tot graadstudie behaal, in vergelyking met 89.37% in 2024.
· 7.83% het toegang tot diplomastudie gekwalifiseer, in vergelyking met 7.56% in 2024.
· 1.34% het toegang tot Hoër Sertifikaat-studie behaal, in vergelyking met 1.53% in 2024.
· 0.02% het ‘n opskryf NSS behaal.

Achieved within the top 5% in 6 or more Subjects and achieved a rating level of 7 in Life Orientation.

Achieved within the top 5% in 5 Subjects and achieved a rating level of 7 in Life Orientation.
