RPL of the Fundamentals for Industry Qualifications
The award of credits against the Fundamentals in industry qualifications is done in conjunction with the relevant SETA.
Assumptions
- RPL refers to RPL for credit against the unit standards at the required level of the relevant qualification.
- RPL assumes competence at the level of qualification: RPL therefore requires evidence against a sample of the outcomes within standards.
RPL Assessments Registration Form
Please note: If you are unsure of the level of your learners' competence in a Fundamental learning area, we recommend that you begin the process by using the IEB Placement Assessment. This is a graded instrument covering NQF Levels 1-4 per learning area. It is NOT an assessment for credit purposes, but results in a ‘learner readiness report', either recommending entry to an RPL process or stating readiness for a learning programme at a particular level. Placement assessment is a cheaper and easier route to follow where there is uncertainty about whether a candidate will be successful in an RPL process at a particular level. Placement assessments are R100,00 per learner per learning area. |
